Yuji Itadori

Yuji Itadori is the kind-hearted and physically gifted protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen. A high school student with superhuman athleticism, he swallowed a Cursed Object — one of Sukuna's fingers — to save his friends from a Cursed Spirit. This act made him the vessel of the King of Curses, Ryomen Sukuna. Despite carrying the world's most evil being inside him, Yuji retains his morality and empathy, valuing the lives of others above all. He joins Tokyo Jujutsu High under Satoru Gojo's guidance and trains under Nanami, Todo, and others. His fighting style combines raw hand-to-hand combat with Sukuna's occasional possession. Throughout the series, Yuji endures immense psychological trauma, losing friends and confronting the dark reality of the jujutsu world, yet he continues to fight for a world where meaningful deaths are possible.
