Kenjaku

Kenjaku is the overarching mastermind behind the events of Jujutsu Kaisen. Over a thousand years old, he exists as a disembodied brain that can transfer itself to new bodies by consuming their original brain. He has inhabited some of the most powerful figures in history, including Noritoshi Kamo the Elder (creator of the Death Paintings) and Suguru Geto. Kenjaku's goal is to evolve humanity through merging the human world with cursed energy using a massive ritual across Japan. He orchestrated the Shibuya Incident, sealed Gojo, manipulated Yuji's birth to create a vessel for Sukuna, and launched the Culling Games to select worthy candidates. Kenjaku is calm, intellectual, and utterly amoral — treating centuries of suffering as an experiment. He is the ultimate chess player in the series.
